I have a renter that is my niece. Her lease started February first, but she pays her rent on the 10th of each month. I let her start to move in on the 10th of January, which gave her a half month free. She got sick and lost her job. She stated to me around the first of may that she could not pay the rent and that she would be out by the first of June. I agreed to store her belongings at no cost and also help her move them. I also agreed not to evict her. She has moved her bedroom items, clothes, and some personal items out of the house. She set two appointments with me to move the things she wanted stored out of the house. She did not show for either time. She has told me that she moved in with her brother and sister in a nearby town. She will not return my calls, so I went to the home. Her car is there, but the person that answered the door said that she is living there, but I just missed her. The water has been turned off, but not the gas or electric. Am I able to clean the house and store her items so that I can get ready for the next renter?
